As part of our plan for continued growth, it will provide a new and expanded space for our Emergency Department – the largest single site ED in the state of Florida – as well as a new Women’s and Children’s Center and larger, flexible operating rooms.
Becoming a teaching hospital through an affiliation with USF will bring research and education innovations of academic medicine to LRMC’s quality of care. Expansion plans for our Graduate Medical Education program include a new academic building where 200-250 residents participating in the program will help advance the quality of care to our community.
