Employee Orientation Programs
General Orientation
Our day-long general orientation for employees is a lively and helpful introduction to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Interactive presentations and activities, such as a Jeopardy-style information game with our HR business partners, familiarize you with expected behaviors, values and the mission of the hospital.
Following the general orientation program, each employee is assigned a preceptor. This individual provides on-the-job training, helping you apply the skills needed to succeed in your new position.
The LRMC orientation also includes an ambassador program, designed for a smooth transition socially. Your ambassador will acquaint you with our culture, take you to lunch and introduce you to your new colleagues. You can even go to your ambassador to find out where the best spot for lunch is or which grocery store, vet or car repair shop in Lakeland is recommended.
Core
Clinical Orientation Required Education, or CORE, is an orientation program for new patient care staff members. It offers valuable information about policies and procedures, along with hands-on equipment experience and general education classes. These classes, delivered by our hospital's Education Department, are interactive and highly participative learning sessions.
