IT Jobs at Lakeland Regional Health

Every day is a different challenge for our IT Team

Lakeland Regional Health is one of Florida’s largest hospitals, with an 851 bed acute care facility, outpatient clinics for cancer care, a trauma center, orthopaedic, behavioral health and neurology and 400 group and independent physicians.

This vast network is linked through Information Technology and our IT team plans, implements and supports all information systems, health information management and telecommunications activities for Lakeland Regional Health. At any time, you’ll find our IT department busy with multiple projects simultaneously working hand in hand with clinical and business teams throughout the organization.

Join a close-knit team

Our close knit team is a blend of long tenure individuals, willing to share their advice and knowledge with those new to our organization and healthcare information technology.

Supporting our Cerner Technology

With our successful implementation of Cerner for EMR, we have a number of opportunities for individuals with Cerner experience to support clinical users through troubleshooting and designing and building enhancements. While Cerner experience is a plus, we are focused on training and development and will train analysts with the right skills.

The skills you'll need

To be successful here, you’ll need to be highly motivated, self-directed and detail oriented. We look for confident professionals who are resilient, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with individuals throughout our organization, including management and administration. Beyond this, you’ll need sharp project management and analytical thinking skills, software and programming skills (not required, but good to have.)

Ongoing upgrades and projects

You’ll find ongoing upgrades and projects range from design, to implementation and maintenance. Clinical Systems Analysts are “hands on” and given the tools to build out the solutions they develop.

Working as a part of a multi-discipline team, Lakeland Regional Health Analysts are part of discussion, strategy and development of new projects and upgrades, providing research and knowledge to the team. We keep our IT team engaged through continual learning and flexibility to work on the projects that interest them most.

With a well developed informatics team, we are able to mesh the clinical and IT sides of our business through open communication and a focus on quality patient care.
